Mont Ventoux? What’s special about the Giant of Provence in the départment of Vaucluse?
With hiking you now have an opportunity to discover some of its many treasures. Mont Ventoux awaits you.
This forested area covering 26 000 hectares is the highest point in Vaucluse. Stretching 25 kilometres from East to West and 15 kilometres from North to South, it is 1 910 m high at its peak. Its singular shape makes it visible from a great distance, hence its name Mont Ventoux: “the mountain that can be seen from afar”.
Three levels of difficulty are on offer, from a family ramble to a sporty hike. With me you will follow tracks and paths and discover some of the many combes or the magnificent cedar forest.
Mont Ventoux is criss-crossed by a multitude of paths and ancient tracks carved out by shepherds. The scenery, the flora and the fauna evolve with the altitude.
From the short family hike, to the active or dynamic hike, everyone at his or her level will be able to appreciate the magnificent landscape in front of them. Discovery of the heritage, magnificent landscapes
